briefness of a summers breeze

Brief. Much like the passing sadness that overcomes me when I acknowledge your lack of presence. Only less pleasant and soothing like when you were actually here.

Yeah, I still miss her. I'm getting better though, I think. Doing better at least. I've always wanted to draw or paint Nola because she wasn't just a black dog. In the beginning of summer, her undercoat started to become a significantly lighter brown that would sometimes appear red or mahogany. Her jet black, silky coat would reflect a bluish color. I portray it pretty poorly in this drawing but...oh well. Yeah... Nola was a very pretty girl.

This isn't the best of sketches, but I didn't know what else to draw but was on my mind. It's hard to fish out words from me so i seized the opportunity to express. That kind of feeling is fleeting... for me, anyways.
Oh! And, if you're going to comment, please don't make it a sad one!! I'm not asking for you to be sorry for me! I don't require pity. That's the last thing I need. Just maybe a little understanding in case I don't seem as enthusiastic as usual. I'm just undergoing a process of a little grief among other stress. :3 Other than that, i'm totally okay. Just a little tired.



I also think that it's a mouthful of shame and all kinds of wrong for me to even put a watermark on this piece... but I feel like I must. So if it isn't obvious already, you have NO permission to copy, reuse or resubmit this image anywhere. ever. I will be beyond flaming pissed if i see this anywhere else. <3

And yes, i know i didn't put an apostrophe in "summers". dA is dumb sometimes.
